Do you need a water filter in Queenstown?

Not every home needs a large whole-house system. The right solution depends on what you want to improve — taste, odour, sediment, drinking water quality or another specific concern.

Start with the problem

If the main complaint is chlorine taste or odour, carbon filtration is often the first treatment to consider. If you only want better drinking water at the kitchen tap, an under-bench system may be more economical than treating the whole house.

When whole-house filtration makes sense

A whole-house system can be useful when you want filtered water throughout the property, when sediment is affecting fixtures, or when there is a broader water-quality issue that needs treatment before water reaches individual taps.

Avoid unnecessary stages

More cartridges do not automatically mean better treatment. Each stage should have a purpose, and the system should be sized for the property's flow rate and future servicing requirements.
